DAY 1 - USA / ROME - SUNDAY

Depart USA by scheduled air service. Contact us for the lowest airfares available.

DAY 2 - ROME - MONDAY

Upon arrival to Rome airport you will be met by a driver and transferred by private car to your hotel located downtown Rome. Check in and the remainder of the day is at your leisure to settle in and explore on your own.

DAY 3 - ROME - TUESDAY

This morning journey to Vatican City to see some of the world's greatest masterpieces of art. You will begin by visiting the Vatican Museums, with a stop at Michelangelo's phenomenal Sistine Chapel. This tour concludes with a visit to St. Peter's Basilica one of the holiest place on earth. You will see Michelangelo’s La Pieta among other great works of art. This afternoon tour Rome's most important Christian sites, beginning with a visit to the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the oldest in Rome and seat of the Bishop of Rome, the Pope. There you can also see the Holy Steps, thought to be the same stairs that Jesus once took in Jerusalem. The tour also includes the monument to Cecelia Metella, the Baths of Caracalla and Chapel of Domine Quo Vadis, where St. Peter is said to have met Jesus when fleeing persecution in Rome.   Continue to a visit to the catacombs, the ancient underground cemeteries and first hiding places for the Christians. This evening is at your leisure.

DAY 4 - ROME (WEDNESDAYS ONLY)

You'll glimpse many of Rome's most impressive sights before arriving at St. Peter's Basilica. The Papal Audience takes place in St. Peter's Square or the Vatican Auditorium (Wednesdays only) depending on weather conditions. During the summer, the Papal Audience may occur in Castelgandolfo, the site of the Pope's summer residence. In this case additional fees apply.  Following the tour the remainder of the day is at your leisure in Rome.

DAY 4 -ROME - THURSDAY

Following breakfast at your hotel, check out and the tour ends. Extensions are available to other destinations within Italy.
