DAY 2: PALERMO
 

Upon arrival at the Palermo airport, you will be met by a driver and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest or explore on your own.

 

DAY 3: PALERMO
 

Following breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Palermo and Monreale at your own pace. Experience the new “Hop on/Hop off” sightseeing concept. You'll receive a ticket valid for all day so you can get on and off the bus at as many of the important sites as you'd like.

 

DAY 4: PALERMO
 

Your day is free to do as you wish, but we suggest an optional excursion exploring Erice and Marsala on the western side of Sicily.

 

DAY 5: PALERMO / AGRIGENTO / PIAZZA ARMERINA / TAORMINA
 

Following breakfast at the hotel, your driver/escort will take you first to Agrigento where you can choose to visit majestic Valley of the Temples, some of the best-preserved Greek temples in the world. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the world renowned Villa Romana del Casale with its well-preserved mosaics. Enjoy lunch at a local country farmhouse featuring distinctly Sicilian dishes. Continue to the town of Taormina where your driver/escort will bring you to your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon and evening on your own in Taormina.

 

DAY 6: TAORMINA
 

Breakfast will be served at your hotel. This entire day is at your leisure to shop, relax at the beach, or explore one of Sicily's most beautiful towns on your own.

 

DAY 7: TAORMINA
 

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning depart by jeep for an excursion to Mt. Etna, Europe's highest active volcano. Visit the Cave of the Thieves and Mount Fontana with a spectacular view of Bove valley and the extinct craters of Sartorius Mounts. A light lunch of typical Sicilian dishes will be served at a local farmhouse, followed by a drive along the Linguaglossa-Castiglione and Alcantara Gorges. There will be a brief visit of the canyon entrance before returning to Taormina.

 

DAY 8: TAORMINA / CATANIA / USA
 

This morning you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred by private car to the Catania airport in time for your return flight back to USA.
