Discover the sights of Italy's third most populated city including Plebiscite Square, the Royal Palace, San Carlo Theatre, Piazza del Gesu, Spaccanapoli and Posillipo, a residential quarter of Naples rumored to have been the home to Roman poet Virgil. Break for lunch (included). This afternoon venture back to the height of the Roman Empire, when this city was completely buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. The excavated ruins are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
