DAY 2: NAPLES / SORRENTO

 

Arrive in Naples airport where you will be met and transferred by private car down the lovely Amalfi peninsula to your four-star hotel. After checking in, relax, take a swim at the private beach, or begin to explore the area on your own. This evening we suggest you unwind and enjoy a superb dinner of local cuisine.

 

DAY 3: SORRENTO

 

Following breakfast, you will be picked up and driven to the Sorrento Cooking School for your first hands-on cooking lesson. Today's lesson will feature the preparation of a three-course meal. Following the lesson, you will enjoy lunch along with local wines. For the remainder of the afternoon, you’re free to explore Sorrento on your own.

 

DAY 4: SORRENTO

 

This morning you will enjoy a second cooking lesson, an amazing three-course dinner menu that will astonish your friends and guests back home. Following the lesson, lunch will be served with complimentary wines. You will receive a certificate of attendance to the Sorrento Cooking School, the school’s canvas shopping bag, a cook’s apron and cook’s paper hat. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure to explore the area on your own or take a swim in the beautiful sea.

 

DAY 5: SORRENTO / POMPEII / SORRENTO

 

Following breakfast at your hotel, you’ll depart by private car to Pompeii where you will meet with a local guide for a 2 hour walking tour of the excavations. This Roman City was buried in 79 AD by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. We suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes. A sun hat and sunglasses are also advisable during summer months. Return to Sorrento in the afternoon and the remainder of the day and evening is yours at leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Sorrento.

 

DAY 6: SORRENTO/ CAPRI/SORRENTO

 

Today is completely at your leisure. One option is to take the high-speed jetfoil to the island of Capri and explore this magnificent island on your own. The jetfoil departs regularly throughout the day, and reservations are not required. On the island, take the funicular up to Anacapri, the highest peak of the island, for spectacular views of the Bay of Naples. Try a caprese salad of buffalo mozzarella and fresh tomatoes, a local specialty, in any of the local restaurants or cafés. Return to your hotel in Sorrento.

 

DAY 7: SORRENTO / NAPLES / USA

 

This morning you will be transferred by private car to the Naples airport in time to board your flight back to USA.
