DAY 1 – USA / BOLOGNA
Departure from USA to Bologna by scheduled air service. Contact our office for a quotation of the lowest cost airfares available for your dates.
DAY 2 – BOLOGNA
Arrival at Bologna airport where you will pick up your rental car and drive the short distance to your hotel in downtown Bologna. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to settle in and explore the city on your own. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner of local Bolognese cuisine at your hotel.
DAY 3 – BOLOGNA
Following breakfast at your hotel, immerse yourself in this area, a place where some of the world’s most beautiful machinery are created within a few miles of Bologna and Modena. Discover the birthplace of Ferrari, Ducati, Lamborghini and Maserati. Make your first stop the Lamborghini Museum just outside Bologna. The exhibit houses some road vehicles, Formula One cars, various marine engines, F1 engines and more. Second stop the Ducati Museum which houses historical motorbikes along with contemporary models, mechanical parts, photos and film clips. This evening is at your leisure.
DAY 4 – BOLOGNA / MARANELLO (MODENA)
Breakfast will be served at your hotel. This morning you'll meet with your private guide for a walking tour of the city of Bologna including Piazza Maggiore, Neptune’s Fountain, the Two Towers, Basilica di San Petronio and more. Following the tour, lunch will be served at the restaurant at your hotel. This afternoon take a short drive (34 miles) to Maranello, located outside of Modena, to visit the world famous Ferrari Gallery. The exhibition changes frequently but always features vintage road vehicles, Formula One cars, transmissions, engines, photographs and much more. You can spend hours in this amazing gallery. This evening is at your leisure.
DAY 5 – BOLOGNA / PARMA
Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Today is dedicated to two important components of this area's cuisine: Prosciutto and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. You will learn how these savory foodstuffs are made and enjoy a tasting. This afternoon you’ll join a local guide for a walking tour of Parma, the birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi, one of Italy's finest operatic composers. Visit the Chiesa di Santa Croce, Palazzo Ducale and much more. Return to Bologna for the evening.
DAY 6 – BOLOGNA / MODENA
Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Today is at your leisure to relax, shop or discover Bologna on your own. If you are so inclined, visit the Panini Museum with cars from the Maserati Collection on exhibit. Ask us about the possibility of making an appointment for you in advance.
DAY 7 – BOLOGNA / USA
This morning you will return your rental car to the Bologna airport in time to board your flight back home.
