DAY 2 – FLORENCE

 

Upon arrival to Florence airport you will be met and transferred by private car to your hotel. Check in 

and the remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the Renaissance City on your own.

 

DAY 3 – FLORENCE

 

Following breakfast at your hotel, this morning your private guide will meet you at the hotel for a 

walking tour of the city. We’ve made reservations for you to visit the Academia to see the original 

sculpture of David by Michelangelo. You will continue to visit Duomo Square with Giotto’s Bell 

Tower, Brunellschi’s Dome, and the famous bronze Gates of Paradise. Following your tour, 

the remainder of the day and evening is at your leisure to shop and explore on your own.

 

DAY 4 – FLORENCE / SIENA

 

Today, after breakfast, you will be picked up in front of your hotel and transferred by

van to Panzano in Chianti, where our bike tour starts. Enjoy a lovely downhill ride (then uphill) to the 

medieval town of Castellina in Chianti then to Fonterutoli, one of themost picturesque areas of Chianti. 

Enjoy a wine tasting then continue your adventure towards Siena. Arrival in the early afternoon

And take time for sightseeing and lunch. At the end of the day you’ll be transferred to your hotel in

Siena. A welcome dinner awaits you at the hotel. 

 

DAY 5 – SIENA / PIENZA / MONTALCINO

 

Following breakfast at the hotel proceed to the car rental office to pick up your rental car. Then we 

suggest you proceed to Pienza a small town with strong Renaissance influence with its principle piazza 

designed by Rosellino, Palazzo Piccolomini and a basilica with Gothic structure and a Renaissance 

façade. Then continue to Montalcino to the Castello Banfi, the only winery in Italy awarded the 

prestigious Michelin star. You will enjoy a three course Tuscan-tasting menu with wines. After lunch 

you will tour the winery at 4:00PM. Following the tour, return to your hotel in Siena and the remainder 

of the day and evening are at your leisure.  

 

DAY 6 – SIENA /SAN GIMIGNANO

 

This morning after breakfast, you will proceed to San Gimignano, an atmospheric medieval town 

with a skyline of 13th and 14th century towers.  You will meet your local guide for a private walking

tour. Then proceed just outside the city confines to Fattoria San Donato, a typical Tuscan working

farmhouse for a visit to their winery, tasting of locally produced cheese, olive oil and of course wine.

Enjoy a light lunch in this beautiful country setting. Following your visit and lunch, the remainder of

the day and evening is at your leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Siena.

 

DAY 7 – SIENA

 

Today you have a full day at your leisure to explore entirely on your own with your rental car. There are so 

many medieval villages in the area, just go out there and venture on your own.

 

DAY 8 – SIENA / FLORENCE

 

Following breakfast at your hotel, proceed to Florence airport or downtown where you will return your rental

car in time for your flight back to USA or extend your stay in Italy.
