Itinerary
DAY 1 - USA/VENICE
Departure from USA to Venice by scheduled service. Contact our office for a quotation of the lowest cost airfares available for your dates.
DAY 2 - VENICE
Upon arrival to Venice airport you will be met and transferred to Giudecca Island, not far from St. Mark’s square where you can board Vita Pugna at 4PM. Settle in and at 7PM you will meet the tour leader and the crew at dinner. Overnight in your cabin on the boat.
DAY 3 - VENICE
Today you have a day free in Venice to explore on your own. Ask us about optional sightseeing tours available. You will be given a free ticket allowing you to use the boat transportation within the city to move about. Relax and enjoy dinner on board the boat this evening.
DAY 4 – VENICE - CHIOGGIA
(30 Km.) This is the most exciting day of the tour, riding along the tow little narrow islands, which build the border between the sea and the lagoon. From Lido, one of the most impressive resorts and the location of the International film festival each year, you ride up to Malamocco, the first seat of the republic of the Doges. A short ferry ride will then take you to the isle Pellestrina with its natural reserve of Ca’Roman and after the final few kilometers Vita Pugna leads you to the fishing village of Chioggia. This evening enjoy dinner on the boat.
DAY 5 - CHIOGGIA - ALBARELLA
(40 Km.) You will leave the so called “Little Venice” going south along the Po-Brondolo waterway and through the mouth of the Adrige River. Pedalling between he wonderful nature reserve of the Po Delta, with its incredible amount of bird species, you will then approach Albarella. Dinner will be served on board the boat this evening.
DAY 6 – ALBARELLA – PORTO LEVANTE - ADRIA
DAY 6 – ALBARELLA – PORTO LEVANTE - ADRIA
(55 Km.). You go deep into the maze of the Po Delta pedaling in the heart of nature. The destination today is Adria, an ancient Greek port, famous for trading amber coming from the Baltic. Dinner tonight on the boat.
DAY 7 – ADRIA – FERRARA - ZELO
(40 Km. by bike; 35km. by bus). After a short navigation in the morning you start cycling in the middle of nature towards Ferrara, the city of bicycles. In the afternoon a short bus transfer will bring you up to Zelo for the overnight stay. Relax and enjoy dinner on the boat.
DAY 8 – ZELO - MANTOVA
(50 Km.) A short stretch of navigation brings you to Torretta on the Fissero Bianco canal. You cycle following the Po as far as Ostiglia, a small village with the ruins of a medieval fortress. After a few kilometers you finally reach Mantova where you have a farewell dinner and overnight on the boat.
DAY 9 - MANTOVA
After breakfast and the customary goodbyes, end of services unless you have booked an extra night or an airport transfer to either Verona or Venice airports.
