Itinerary

DAY 1  (THURSDAY OR SATURDAY) USA  - ROME

Departure from USA by scheduled air service. Contact our office for the lowest airfares available for your dates.
 
DAY 2 (FRIDAY OR SUNDAY) ROME
 
Arrive at Rome airport where you will be met and transferred by private car to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to explore on your own. 
 
DAY 3 (SATURDAY OR MONDAY) ROME  - ASSISI – SIENA - FLORENCE
 
Breakfast will be served daily at your hotels. Depart by motorcoach for the mystic town of Assisi. Next travel the Autostrada del Sole to Siena, nestled in the heart of Tuscany. In the afternoon proceed to Florence for dinner at the hotel.
 
DAY 4 (SUNDAY OR TUESDAY) FLORENCE
 
A morning walking tour of Florence will include the main landmarks including the Duomo built by Brunelleschi and the Ponte Vecchio. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Florence before dinner at the hotel.
 
DAY 5 (MONDAY OR WEDNESDAY) FLORENCE – BOLOGNA – PADUA - VENICE
 
Today you will depart for the elegant city of Bologna and enjoy a city tour. In the afternoon there will be a short visit in Padua to see the beautiful St. Anthony’s Basilica. The final destination for today is Venice, the "City of Canals," with dinner at your hotel.
 
DAY 6 (TUESDAY OR THURSDAY) - VENICE
 
Explore this mysterious city built on 177 islands, 150 canals and 400 bridges. The sightseeing includes St. Mark’s square and Doge’s Palace (external viewing) and a stop at a Murano glass shop. There's time on your own before dinner at your hotel.
 
DAY 7 (WEDNESDAY OR FRIDAY) VENICE – MONTEPULCIANO - ROME
 
Depart by motorcoach for the famous Chianti region of Tuscany. Continue to Montepulciano, a city located north of Val d'Orcia, world-famous for its excellent Brunello. There will be a wine tasting and free time to shop or relax before you depart for Rome in the evening.
 
DAY 8 (THURDAY OR SATURDAY) ROME
 
Breakfast is at the hotel followed by a walking tour of this famous Eternal City, including Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and St. Peter’s Basilica. In the afternoon, you are at leisure to explore and enjoy Rome at your own pace. 
 
DAY 9 (FRIDAY OR SUNDAY) ROME –  NAPLES – POMPEII - SORRENTO
 
The coach will travel the “Sun Route” through the regions of Lazio and Campania before arriving in Naples for a brief city tour. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant en route to visit the excavations of Pompeii, the famous Roman city, destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. After your visit to Pompeii, the tour will continue along the Sorrentine coast to Sorrento. Dinner tonight is at your hotel in Sorrento.
 
DAY 10 (SATURDAY OR MONDAY) SORRENTO
 
Today is at leisure in Sorrento to relax or to explore this scenic city on the Amalfi Coast, overlooking an azure-blue sea. 
 
DAY 11 (SUNDAY OR TUESDAY) SORRENTO - CAPRI
 
Today you'll travel by boat to the island of Capri. Weather and sea conditions permitting, explore the Blue Grotto in small rowboats. Lunch in a local restaurant and followed by free time for shopping or other optional activities. In the afternoon transfer back to the hotel for dinner.
 
DAY 12 (MONDAY OR WEDNESDAY) CAPRI - ROME
 
This morning is at leisure in Capri before returning to Rome for the evening.
 
DAY 13 (TUESDAY OR THURDAY) ROME - USA
 
Transfer to the Rome airport in time to board your departure flight.
