DAY 2 (SATURDAY) PALERMO

 

Arrive at the Palermo airport and independent transfer to your hotel and greeting with a welcome cocktail. Dinner tonight is at the hotel.

 

DAY 3 (SUNDAY) PALERMO - CEFALU’ - CAPO D'ORLANDO – TAORMINA - CATANIA

 

A buffet breakfast will be served daily at your hotels. Depart for Cefalu’ to visit the beautiful Norman Cathedral, continuing to Capo D'Orlando for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch continue to Taormina, a famous resort town of Sicily, known for its spectacular views and welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy some time at leisure to shop or simply walk through the tiny streets. Proceed to Catania. Standing in the shadow of Mt. Etna, Catania is often called the "city of black and white." Black lava and white plaster and marble form major parts of its architectural adornment. Enjoy dinner at your hotel in Catania.

 

DAY 4 (MONDAY) CATANIA - MOUNT ETNA - CATANIA

 

After a buffet breakfast, weather conditions permitting, excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Across fascinating landscape, we will reach a height of 2000 metres, where we will enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Ionic Sea. Lunch in a farmhouse on the slopes of Etna and wine tasting of local production. Back to Catania for a walking tour of the town. Dinner tonight is at your hotel in Catania.

 

DAY 5 (TUESDAY) CATANIA – SYRACUSE – NOTO - RAGUSA

 

Following a buffet breakfast, depart to Syracuse to visit the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily. Visit of the archaeological area including the famous Latomie of the Paradise, the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheater and the Dyonisios “Ear”. Visit the island of Ortigia, the small baroque city center of Siracusa. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, depart to Noto, one of the most beautiful cities in Sicily renowned for the harmony and unity of its Baroque style and today declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Proceed to Ragusa, where you will enjoy a tasting of regional products in a nice bar on the main square near the Dome, “Basilica di San Giorgio”. Dinner at your hotel in Ragusa.

 

DAY 6 (WEDNESDAY) RAGUSA – CALTAGIRONE - PIAZZA ARMERINA - AGRIGENTO

 

After a buffet breakfast, depart to Caltagirone, one of the most famous cities in sicily for its pottery production. Continue to Piazza Armerina for a visit of the Villa Romana del Casale, worldwide known for the complex collection of late Roman mosaics. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Agrigento: visit of the Valley of the Temples. Dinner at your hotel in Agrigento. After dinner enjoy an unforgettable panoramic tour of the Valley of the Temples illuminated. Overnight in Agrigento.

 

DAY 7 (THURSDAY) AGRIGENTO – SELINUNTE – SEGESTA  - PALERMO

 

After a buffet breakfast, depart to the Archaeological park of Selinunte, the largest in the Mediterranean area with the impressive Temples and Acropolis. Tasting of olive oil and lunch are at a local farmhouse in Castelvetrano. Continue to Segesta to visit the Doric Temple. Proceed to Palermo. Dinner at your hotel in Palermo.

 

DAY 8 (FRIDAY) PALERMO - MONREALE

 

After a buffet breakfast. morning visit of Palermo, one of the richest towns in the island for history and art. We will continue to Monreale to admire the Cathedral with its splendid 12th century mosaics and the cloister of the Benedictines monastery with Moorish architecture. Lunch at your hotel. Afternoon is at your leisure or optional excursion to Erice. Dinner at your hotel in Palermo.

 

DAY 9 (SATURDAY) PALERMO - USA

 

Following a buffet breakfast, independent transfer to the Palermo airport in time to board your flight home.
